Piazza Campitelli

Piazza Campitelli is located near the impressive Gothic House between Villa d'Este and the Palace of the Missions.

In the past the square was part of the area of the Roman Villa of Scipio Nasica. 

Today the whole area has been completely renovated and the stairway that characterizes it was dedicated to the great water-colourist Ettore Franz, an honorary citizen of Tivoli. Piazza Campitelli also contains a beautiful sundial.
