The ancient burial area is located on Via della Serena, almost abutting the Via Tiburtina, which, coming down from Tivoli heads toward Lucanian Bridge.
Of the four known monuments, only two remain, well preserved and about 30 meters apart.
Made of parallelepiped blocks of travertine, they have a square plan and a southern access on the side opposite the present-day Via Tiburtina.
The former retains a height of nearly 8 meters; in the lower body was the cella on top of which protruded a wider platform that housed the upper crowning consisting of a carved altar on the main face.
Among the missing figures of the head we recognize a horse held by the reins by a naked figure, which was followed by a toga figure; between the two appeared the head of a third figure.
The second tomb is about 4 m high and is wider than the previous one but seriously compromised by modern interventions.
The two tombs, once interpreted as the entrance to Hadrian’s Villa, are now on private property but can be visited by taking advantage of the kindness of the landowner.
